Metamorphosis of Home: A Family’s Journey to Reimagine, Remodel, and Redefine
A family of four faced a pivotal change in their lives. They received a new job opportunity that prompted an impending relocation within the year. Their well-built brick rancher was full of potential but needed updating before considering selling the home. The family decided to invest now and enjoy the home in a modernized state before they needed to move.
Maximizing every inch, we orchestrated key changes that rearranged the communal area of the home and enlarged the primary bathroom. The kitchen and living room were relocated to the back of the home for enhanced privacy, a new office was created for work privacy, and a dining room was erected to showcase the client’s sentimental chandelier. The primary bathroom was increased by 30% by stealing square footage from an adjacent closet, which allowed for a change from a single to a double vanity. New wood flooring was installed and refinished throughout the home, as well as paint, molding, and water heater upgrades.
Every paint stroke, floorboard refinement, and space adjustment served a purpose; the newly defined spaces evolved the house into a practical, updated, and beautiful home. Now ready for the market, the family can enjoy the fruits of their labor while assuring the best possible sale in the future.
